CANCER FOUNDATION PRESENTS "A CELEBRATION OF THE ARTS"
The Desert Cancer Foundation of Arizona presents its second annual fund
raising event, "A Celebration of the Arts," Saturday, February 23, 2002, 6-10 PM
at the Arizona Historical Society Museum, 1300 N. College Avenue, Tempe.
This art exhibition and auction is an endowment fund benefit project. Cost
is $75. Cocktail attire requested.
Major donors include America West Airlines, Southwest Airlines and
Heidi's Catering.
Participants will view, enjoy and acquire beautiful pieces of art by masters
such as Jan Wooster Scott, John Kelly, Mark King, Leroy Neiman and Anatole
Krasnyansky. Also, Michael Schofield, Erte, Christopher Forrest and others
from around the world. Art is custom framed and ready to hang.
Schedule: 6 PM art preview, registration, hors d'oeuvres, cocktails; 7-10
PM live auction. Grab bags are also available at nominal cost.
The mission of the Desert Cancer Foundation is "To provide cancer
education and treatment resources to the uninsured of Arizona."
Foundation President Carole Allen Weishaar says, " We need help in educating the community and providing resources for uninsured women and families faced with a diagnosis of cancer. Please join us in an evening of culture and fun to help the Foundation reach its goals."
